Andreas “DJ Dre Day” Johnson, best known as the “Life of Da Party,” has spent more than 20 years creating unforgettable experiences on the dance floor. Inspired by legendary Philadelphia DJs such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Cosmic Kev and DJ Cash Money, Dre Day developed an open-format style built around crowd control, smooth transitions, live energy and knowing exactly what the room needs.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dre Day began his entertainment career in the dance community. After learning from respected dance pioneers such as Clyde Evans and Rennie Harris, he became the leader of the acclaimed hip-hop dance crew Versatile, guiding the group for 10 years. Versatile opened for artists including Aaliyah, 50 Cent and Nina Sky, earned multiple competition awards and appeared on major stages, including BET’s “106 & Park” and “Showtime at the Apollo.”

After years of performing as a dancer and choreographer, Dre Day shifted his focus toward DJing, music production and event promotion. His career has taken him from clubs and private events in Philadelphia and Atlantic City to Los Angeles, Arizona and Las Vegas. He has opened for artists including Chris Brown and Jeezy, while also performing during the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend and the 2012 Foam N’ Glow Tour.

Dre Day later founded City Boyz Nation LLC, an entertainment company providing professional DJs, MCs, sound, photography, videography, music production and event services. The company’s experience covers weddings, corporate functions, proms, community programs, nightlife and private celebrations. His passion for developing talent has also included teaching digital music production at a Villanova University summer program and working directly with emerging artists through City Boyz Music Group.

His contributions have earned recognition throughout the entertainment community, including 2022 Hip Hop Producer of the Year, 2024 Promoter of the Year and 2024 Photographer of the Year. City Boyz West has also received Rap Label of the Year and Tucson Hip Hop Label of the Year honors.

Now based in Henderson, Nevada, Dre Day serves clients throughout Las Vegas while continuing to travel nationwide. Whether he is behind the DJ booth, producing an event, directing a photo shoot or helping an artist develop their sound, his mission remains the same: bring people together, create opportunities and make every experience feel like a true Dre Day event.
